About Me

I’m a tattoo artist and illustrator based in central Massachusetts. Caged Raven Tattoo is where I started my apprenticeship under my mentor, Cory (@zoidgrafx), and is where I continue to tattoo today! After leaving school in 2018, I ran through many jobs while trying to practice my art skills to prepare for the hunt for an apprenticeship. The lockdown during the pandemic provided the unique opportunity to stay home, hunker down, and take as many online classes as I could. In the Spring of 2022 I was fortunate to catch Cory’s ad looking for an apprentice, which sent all applicants into an Ink Master challenge to find the best candidate. After a month of competition, Loren and I won and began our apprenticeships!

Outside of tattooing, I love video games, all kinds of art, music, reading, and a lil’ bit of TV and movies. I pull a ton of inspiration from the music and literature I enjoy. To me, the projects that are the most fun are the ones that can really build an atmosphere. Bonus points for interesting storytelling! That’s why I love collaborating with clients so much. Every project is a new opportunity to build a world for them based on their personality, their perspective, their experiences and how they want to show that to the world.

Then I can retreat to my nest, away from everyone and everything, to sink back into my own little world for a while before crawling back out and doing it all again.

I’ll end this intro with some rapid fire interests, facts, and favorites of mine. Lists like these help me vibe check the person I’m reading about, so maybe it’ll do the same for you:

Best Food: BBQ Chicken and Pineapple Pizza. No contest.

Best Drink: If we’re talking alcohol, an Old Fashioned. If we’re talkin’ non-alcohol, coffee. I’m a coffee snob so a hot black Dark Roast is always the way to my heart but I love a fancy coffee if the function permits.

Worst Food: Watermelon. Period. Point Blank. Real or artificial. Abolish watermelon.

Best Candy: Reese Fast Breaks reign supreme but if we’re talkin’ candy other than chocolate, Sour Patch Kids.

Favorite Show: Fraiser. For anyone born after 1985, it’s the spinoff of the old sitcom Cheers. Smiling Friends on adultswim is tied for 1st on my list.

Favorite Music: Chat Pile and Gojira are my top favorites for the metal side of things. Clipse (Rob’s Pick for 2025 AOTY) and JPEGMAFIA are probably my most listened to rap/hip-hop artits currently. I lean towards the heavier genres of metal and rap/hip-hop, but I love tons of different artists.

Favorite Games: I still grind FPS games like I’m a 16-year old in 2007 so Battlefield 6 is my current vice. But I love RPGs too.

My Philosophy

Never hesitate to let me know if there are changes you want to see with the drawing or the placement.

I approach every project carefully and make sure I fully understand your expectations. By expectations I mean your must-have’s, your do’s and dont’s, the style and the aesthetic you’re trying to achieve. I never try to talk someone out of their idea unless it affects the longevity or overall quality of the project. And I’ll be honest if the project isn’t a good fit for me or if I’m not able to match your vision.

To me, time is our most precious asset. The last thing I want is for any part of the process to be rushed - neither of us deserve that. So it’s important to me that you understand the following:

I work slowly

Here’s why:

I care deeply about the quality of my work. 2026 will mark my 4th year as a tattoo artist and nearly half of that was spent as an apprentice. I’m still learning my process.

I soak up as much as I can from the incredible artists that I work with at Caged Raven Tattoo and from the amazing artists I travel the world to see. One of the most reassuring things I’ve come to understand as a common denominator across the board: What makes the art I love really special is not technical skill as much as it is the decisions they make when drafting the idea. Their compositional choices, their use of contrast, value, how they chose to size and place the tattoo - to name a few. These things don’t require the finesse of a tattoo machine, they require a careful eye and a visual library they’ve built up over time and experience, but most of all: it requires patience.

If you are someone looking for a quick, in-and-out-type of experience, I am very likely not the right fit. I’m always down for quick, small designs! And I’m more than happy to replicate the reference as long as it’s not copying works of other artists or any other form of plagiarism. I’ll encourage you to call the shop if you’re looking to see if I’m available for small “walk-in” type projects.

There are so many unpredictable factors that go into tattooing that I cannot see until the project has begun. Check out the FAQ page for more info on those factors.

Tattooing is a discipline. To me, it’s one of the most sacred, uniquely human things we can experience. I want to spend my career dedicating what time and attention I have to do the best work I possibly can. I’m extremely fortunate to be in the position to do this for a living and work hard to make sure there’s nothing but growth and forward momentum. Thank you so much for everyone who supports me by way of the patience and grace to grow as an artist.
